Product Record Edit action updates information relevant to each product code and comprises a series of tabbed sections:

IdentifierInternal identification code.
DescriptionShort description of product. See Memo tab for extended descriptiion.
DrawingIssue number reflecting minor product revisions.
CategorySite defined series of 2 character codes used to clasify products into a fundamental set. There is a facility for users to define a variable number of groups comprising multiple categories for higher level classification.
Tax CodeA product related UK tax liability.
Sales NominalA nominal code for product sold to customers to allow revenue to be logically totalled in groups of interest to the business.
Purchase NominalA nominal code for product spurchased from suppliers to allow costs to be logically totalled in groups of interest to the business
UOM CodesUp to ten different codes that identify pack sizes that are associated with the product.
Batch QtyFopr manufactured items, the usual production quantity which it is anticipated would result form a production process. This figure is a factor when stating component requirements and any production process timings.
LocationDefault warehouse/stores location associated with this product.
Allow -ve Stockdenotes whether an inventory deficit is permitted, e.g. shiiping items to a customer before production have recorded completion of a manufacturing request.
Supply CertifiedIdentifies whether the supplier should deliver quality or specification documentation at the point of delivery.
InventoryFlag identifying whether inventory is monitored and recorded, for some consummables this will not be the case, e.g. paper clips?
Level of TraceabilityOne of 3 values denoting the degree of tracebaility that should be monitored for the produict.
Buy/Sell/InvFor products with multiple unit-of-measure codes these settingd identify the defaukt unit-of-measure that are applicable to different operational areas - e.g. an item may be purchased from supply chain in one pack size with inventory managed in a different pack size.
